Kahina Pōhaku Corporation is a Hawaiʻi 501(c)(3) organization. Incorporated in January 2018, Kahina Pōhaku loko iʻa (fish pond) has been a place for cultural gathering and learning for 20 years. Lead by Uncle Raymond (Leimana) Naki, the loko iʻa has hosted students from elementary school age, all the way up to graduate students with a hands-on style of practical learning that both preserves and extends the influence of indigenous Hawaiian culture.
Groups from the YMCA, parents of autistic children, ecologists, naturalists, team-building groups, and many others have collaborated to create a hands-on learning experience that as is rewarding and long lasting.
